Audience Reaction to Philip Caudill as a Speaker
“Phil Caudill is an interesting, captivating speaker whose topic is flavored with anecdotes -- sometimes humorous and sometimes filled with pathos -- based upon his solid research from primary sources.”
Ryan Smith, Executive Director, Texas Energy Museum - Beaumont, Texas
“An ascetic few bear the burden of collective memory, of being the ones who tell the story and keep it safe just through the act of making it known. When Philip Caudill reports on long-past events unearthed through meticulous research, his listeners immediately know that he readily shoulders that solitary burden, and runs his leg of the race with gusto and a determined passion not to let the baton drop.”
Earl S. Hines - Beaumont, Texas
“Thank you so much for presenting such a great talk on William Duncan at the Beaumont Conference on Saturday. It was most enjoyable. I can't wait to read the book. Thank you for giving us such a great time.”
Melody Johnson, 5th Grade Teacher - Beaumont, Texas
